Christmas Music

Have you ever noticed that we start listening to Christmas music earlier and earlier? Last year a radio station played Christmas music for 93 days. I love Christmas music, so it really doesn't matter to me. Now I don't play the music in the summer, that's a little too early for me. Does it really matter if you listen to Christmas music during the year? Why do we listen to Christmas music early or whenever? Just by listening to it brings you into the Christmas season. Just think you’re setting by a fire with your favorite blanket, drinking hot cocoa and listening to the soothing sounds of Christmas. That definitely would put me in the Christmas mood, so do you think it matters when you listen to Christmas music?

Sleep

People say that you are supposed to get 8 hours of sleep each night, but in truth you really only get 5 to 6 hours. If we had better sleep each night our day would be much better. We would have healthier lifestyles. Since I have been at college it's a different story. When there is a paper due you shouldn't wait till the last minute and kill yourself when in reality you can get done before hand when you actually have time. Why do we do wait till the last minute to do something. I know a couple that did their homework early and did not have any problems. As I was saying sleep is very important and that's what I need to do! See ya and have a good night.

Private or Public

What do you think about private school, is it better than public? From kindergarten to senior I attended a private school. The most students we have ever had were about 50, including the younger class. It was small, though we had a gym and huge yard space, where we can play softball, kickball and other various sports. When you attend a small school you practically know each other. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but in most cases it kind of is. One thing that I know is that you can't go to a public school and have a prayer meeting and just sing praises to God. I have had that experience when I attended a private school. We had an incredible time doing our devotions; we would sing and talk about what God has done in our lives. Sometimes I would feel so tired that I didn’t really pay attention to the speaker and I wouldn’t get as much out of it as the other students did. Now that I have touched the topic on private school, let me tell you what I think about private school. They won't let you bring your Bible to school or have prayer meetings with the other students. The school has medal detectors and drug sniffing dogs. For one I have never attended that kind of school, but I do know some people who have and still have kept the faith. In that kind of atmosphere you need to be careful with the people that you hang around with. I'm not saying public school is bad for everyone, but for me it would be. Thanks, from the thoughtful lady.

Attitude

Everyday we act on our attitudes. We either choose to have a positive or a negative attitude. Adam Khan says, "A GOOD ATTITUDE is one of the most important assets you can have. Let me enumerate some of its benefits quickly. With a better attitude:
1. Your relationships are fuller, more harmonious, and more beneficial. Even if you have a great attitude already, with every improvement you make in your attitude, you'll have fewer troubles. The better your attitude, the easier it is to resolve conflicts.
2. Your health is better. Vast reams of ever-accumulating research show that negative emotions of all kinds are detrimental to your long-term health and that positive emotions are positively beneficial for your body and mind.
3. You will make more money. People are hired and promoted as much for their attitudes as for their skill and knowledge.
4. You make better decisions. Studies show that people are more creative and better able to reason in a good mood than in a bad mood.
5. You will feel happier more often."

We as Christans should consider those five steps into are everyday life and that we should be an example toward others who may not know how to act in difficult situations. You don't have to act like everything is nonchalant, but you can choose how you use your attitude towards the circumstance. It's just a thought from me. :)

Respect

The kids that grow up in today's world our generally disrespectful; however there's a small percentage who are respectful. I don't know about you, but my parents have taught me a great deal of respect. The Bible teaches that we should have respect for those in authority, some parents don't teach that trait in our society today. However, we should be an example to those who may not know the true meaning of respect.
