The virtue of a woman

A woman's virtue plays an important part in our society today. A virtuous woman should be put on a pedestal, but our society does not think that way. Proverbs 31:10 says, "Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies." The Bible refers to a virtuous woman being far above rubies because rubies are the scarcest of all the gems and command extreemely high prices. That is the kind of woman we should look up to. A woman of virtue knows what is right and wrong and will do what is morally right. A woman of virtue would place the welfare of her family above her own well-being. She knows the meaning of ethics and she follows her principles of life. The virtuous woman is a woman of strength. Though she is the weaker vessel, she is made strong by wisdom, grace, and fear of God. Too often the search is made for accomplishments and external qualities rather than for godly internal worth. A woman of virtue should be what every woman strives to be for her own good and for love of the nation, so as to attain peace and harmony in families and in the world. If every women was virtuous, this would be a world of peace and harmony. There would be healthier people and more smiling faces. There would be more fulfilling family life and the parents of the virtuous women would feel blessed too.
